As a result, we approach the selection of qualified and talented teachers to join the Dream Feet team very seriously. The members of our impressive teaching team are shown below.

    • Performed at Moulin Rouge (Paris), Sun City (South Africa), concert venues and cruise ships in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia, and The Sydney Showboat
    • State and National Irish dancing champion
    • Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching

    Miss illye, Dream Feet's award-winning singing teacher

    Miss Virginia Lillye

    (Singing)

    • 9 years of teaching experience
    • Accomplished Australian singer, songwriter, dancer, and choreographer
    • Performed in musicals across Europe for ten years including Cats, Grease, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Fame
    • Toured and played at German music festivals such as Popkomm and Sound of Frankfurt as a solo artist and with her band Something Fierce
    • Released a single for Sony called LUV2LUVU, which went rocketing up the German dance charts
    • Lead vocalist on the Led Zeppelin show Whole Lotta Love (featuring Steve Balbi from Noiseworks and Dave Gleeson from Screaming Jets) and performed with Meatloaf during his Australian Bat Out Of Hell LIVE tour

    • Sang Tainted Love, the title track for the promotion of the successful Australian television drama Underbelly Razor

    • Provided vocal talent on commercials for brands including Coca-Cola, Mercedes, VW, Nokia, Telstra, IBM, and Accor
    • Was a contestant on The Voice and performed as a featured singer on Channel 7’s morning program Sunrise

    • Launched a debut EP with her current original band, LILLYE, which has won several awards with international radio play and gigs all over the country

    • 20 years experience in the Australian music scene
    • Performed and worked alongside Delta Goodrem, Christine Anu, David Campbell, Courtney Act, Doug Parkinson, Angry Anderson, Marcia Hines, Human Nature, Chaz Bono, Steve Balbi (Noiseworks), Natalie Imbruglia, Jack Jones (Southern Sons), John Rowe, William Forsythe, Stephen “Spud” Murphy, John Bowles, Eric Weideman (1927), Tamsin Carroll, Michael Cormick and Mark Williams
    • TV appearances and movie soundtracks include: Australian Idol, Mornings with Kerry-Anne Kennerley, Midday with Ray Martin, In Sydney Today, John Mangos Show, Star Search, New Faces with Bert Newton and “Thunderstruck the movie”
    • 15 years of teaching experience in institutions such as Brent Street, The Australian Institute of Music, Sister2Sister School of Singing, The Australian Performing Arts College, The Arts Dept and the Australian College of Entertainment
    • Past students have included Delta Goodrem, Bianca Oecshle, Chloe Zuel (Hairspray, Australian Idol)
    • Miss Carmel is taking a break from teaching at Dream Feet in 2017 so that she can spend more time with her family.  We look forward to welcoming her back in 2018

    • Training includes:  ED5 International full time Diploma Performing Arts Course and Urban Dance Centre Cert IV Performing Arts Course

    • Sydney Eisteddfods McDonald's Scholarship Classical Ballet Finalist
    • The Genee Medals Finalist
    • Supreme Winner of The Alana Haines Awards and recipient of a full scholarship to The Royal Ballets School Graduate Year
    • Trained acrobatics at All Starz Performing Arts and completed the Queensland National Ballet Excellence Program and Full-Time Advanced Diploma Program

    Mrs Kay Wayman

    (Choreography, Jazz and Tap)

    • Taught for 43 years as a teacher for the Department of Education
    • Awarded The Minister's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2000
    • Awarded The Director General's Award for Excellent Service to Public Education and Training (Especially in the Area of Performing Arts ) in 2010  
    • Taught dance and choreographed for Regional and State Dance Festivals
    • Choreographed for Opening Ceremony of The Pacific Schools Games, The Special Olympics, and The World Netball Championships
    • Choreographed for The Schools Spectacular for up to 300 students from schools all over the state for 25 years
    • Has a flair for designing beautiful costumes and making accessories and props to compliment Dream Feet's exciting routines
    • Won numerous awards for dance eisteddfods and competitions including: Best Primary School Jazz in The McDonald's City of Sydney Eisteddfod and the Wakakirri Dance and Drama Eisteddfod
