DREAM FEET SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS
Dream Feet School of Performing Arts is dedicated to being a place where all students have fun and feel safe while striving for excellence in all styles of dance. We strive to create a warm environment that is conducive to nurturing talent and bringing out the best in each individual student. We are committed to providing quality dance instruction from qualified and experienced teachers who are or were industry professionals and who support the ethos of our school.
Dream Feet School of Performing Arts opened in 2013 and is already well known for its family friendly atmosphere providing classes for dance in the following styles - Royal Academy of Dance Ballet, Royal Academy of Dance Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Singing, and Acrobatics. The school attracts all levels of students who want to experience either a once a week class for fun or for the more serious dancer who completes yearly exams, competes in eisteddfods and dances as part of the Dream Feet Entertainment Troupe. Our Troupe regularly performs at The Royal Easter Show and local fetes and will be travelling internationally to the USA for the Disneyland Dance Tour 2017.
Danielle Wayman is Dream Feet's founder and director. Danielle has a passion for dance and trained from the age of 2 in RAD ballet, jazz, tap, modern and Irish dancing. She was State and National Irish dancing champion. She performed at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, Sun City South Africa, performed on many cruise ships and worked on The Sydney Showboat for many years while she completed her Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching. Danielle has been teaching dance for 16 years.

PARENT testimonials from the dream feet family
" Our daughter does a number of classes with Dream Feet from Jazz to RAD ballet. She has been dancing with Dream Feet now for 2-3 years, and she loves it. The teachers are professional, all the while remembering that it's supposed to be FUN. Costumes for performances are gorgeous and, along with make up and routines, ALWAYS age appropriate. Overall, the team are fun and enthusiastic. Danielle knows we are all a busy bunch of families so we get plenty of advanced notice of events coming up, along with well timed reminders along the way. I highly recommend Dream Feet and Danielle's team of teachers."
- Kathrin (mum to Anastazia, age 8)
"Danielle has an easy-going teaching style that the girls gravitate towards. She has been able to bring out the best in Olivia, whilst keeping it enjoyable."
- Liz (mum to Olivia, age 9)
"My daughter has been attending Dream Feet for over three years and she consistently rates it as her absolute favourite extra-curricular activity. The school gives her a warm and exciting environment to dance her heart out. I can't speak more highly of Danielle's approach to teaching dance to girls of all abilities and I think that every girl gets the chance to shine."
- Rosemary (mum to Lucinda, age 7)

DREAM FEET PERFORMANCES
(Click photos to enlarge)
Dream Feet students have many opportunities to perform for both their families and the general public. Open days are scheduled every term so parents can view classes. Other options for our girls to perform and challenge themselves include:
Dream Feet Entertainment Troupe
Students who like the thrill of performing for the public can join the Dream Feet Entertainment Troupe. Our Troupe is regularly invited to perform at local fetes and has been competitively selected in the past two years to perform at both The Royal Easter Show Amphitheatre and the Sydney Family Show at the Entertainment Quarter (Moore Park).
Dream Feet is especially proud of the Troupe's competitive selection to take part in the Disneyland Dance Tour in April 2017 (see Disney Tour 2017 section for further information). Many Australian dance schools applied for this honour, so it is an impressive achievement for such a young school.
In 2017, the Dream Feet Entertainment Troupe will also be competing in select prestigious local eisteddfods. We will be entering The St George Eisteddfod, The Sydney Eisteddfod, The Ryde Eisteddfod and The Inner West Eisteddfod in Classical and Contemporary groups and solos.
Royal Academy of Dance Exams
Students who are studying for RAD Ballet and Tap qualifications prepare solidly throughout the year for exams in October. In the lead-up to exams, Dream Feet schedules additional practice sessions, which includes time with our experienced accompanist. RAD students love the challenge of perfecting their techniques and showing what they have learned to their examiners. Despite Dream Feet only opening its doors three years ago, students have performed impressively in RAD ballet exams.
Dream Feet Annual Concert
The pinnacle of the Dream Feet calendar for both students and their families is the annual Dream Feet concert held every December. All Dream Feet students are invited to participate and almost all girls take part. Throughout the year, they practice specially choreographed routines that are matched with exciting costumes and music. The enthusiasm and professionalism of all our girls in final dress rehearsals and the actual concert are wonderful to see.
